Five (Plus One) Favourite Places

Ziki Questi started the New Year in her blog with a great idea: Five Favorite Places. It made me actually a big headache today. Although I could have chosen all of Ziki's destinations too, there are still so much highly recommendable places. After some thinking I decided to show 6, because further reducing really started to hurt.

1. MadPea Carneval

The Carneval is to me the perfect combination of great builders craftsmanship, art and entertainment. The visitor easily can be busy for days here. I know many artists hate to hear it, but good art for me should entertain too. What else can be a reason for the visitor to go and appreciate it? And a concept like the Carneval brings people in contact with art, who usually tend to avoid it. The games are made smart and highly detailed. Plus MadPea is a great team where all individuals contribute their best for a result that one alone never could have realised.

2. Two Fish

Everyone who thinks, entertaining art must be superficial, should visit Two Fish. The story told by Rose Borchovski  gets deep under the skin.

3. Calas Galadhon

What does the art blogger when she is tired of art? Having a walk in the most beautiful group of sims in SL. One feels the love of decorating and creating in every leaf of the plants and every item in the houses. And the changing of seasons is simply awesome.

4. Treptower Park

An abandoned fun park after a real model in Berlin. Built with many nice and funny details.

5. Sparquerry

The Center of a group of 3 sims filled with a strange and mysterious world made of countless ideas. That is real passion of building.

6. Pteron

This sim already existed when I started to explore SL, therefore it is some kind of artifact ;)
It was one of my first wow's in SL and it still is. A strange and mysterious world of a special beauty.  But one can as well feel the wonderful lag caused by heavy use of sculpts, something that is much better on mesh sims nowadays.
That is the only place of my list I never blogged. Big mistake!
